- Why is the tight end position so top-heavy?
- Only a handful of TEs each year clear positional replacement value — the gap between TE3 and TE12 is often larger than the gap between WR12 and WR36. The Market Index reflects that cliff directly: top TEs sit alongside elite WRs in overall value, then the position falls off sharply.
- Should I take an elite TE early or wait?
- It depends on the gap between this year's TE1 and the streamable tier. The Market Index makes that call cleaner — when the top TE's value sits 1500+ raw points above the mid-tier, the early pick has a real edge. When the cliff is shallow, waiting wins.
