How the grades work

Every drafted player is priced by the LeagueLogs Market Index — our continuously updated valuation of every fantasy-relevant player, tuned to your league's format (redraft or dynasty, superflex, PPR). Each pick is then compared to what its draft slot should have returned: if the draft had gone in perfect value order, the tenth pick would land the tenth most valuable player taken. Beat that expectation and you banked value; miss it and you paid up.

A team's grade is the average of those per-pick results across its whole draft. The letter maps to how consistently a manager captured value: an A means the roster is worth meaningfully more than its draft slots predicted, an F means value walked out the door. Grades are zero-sum across the league — every point of surplus someone banked, another manager paid for.

What's in the report

  • A letter grade for every team, ranked best to worst
  • Value over expected — total roster value drafted vs. what each team's slots were worth
  • Every team's best values and biggest reaches, with the board rank and Market Index value behind each verdict
  • The best pick and biggest reach of the entire draft
  • Scout's one-line read on how each manager played the board

The verdict for a draft never changes once it's graded — the link you share shows your league the exact same report you saw.

Dynasty and rookie drafts

Rookie drafts are graded on dynasty values, not redraft rankings — so the consensus 1.01 grades as a fair pick, not a reach, and a second-round rookie who fell shows up as the steal he actually was. Startup dynasty drafts and superflex formats resolve to their own value boards automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I grade my fantasy football draft?
Enter your Sleeper username (or paste a draft link) in the grader above. It finds your leagues, grades every completed draft pick by pick, and scores each team A+ to F. No account or signup needed.
How are fantasy draft grades calculated?
Each drafted player is valued by the LeagueLogs Market Index, then compared to a rank-based expectation for the slot they were taken at — if the draft had gone in perfect value order, the Nth pick would return the Nth most valuable player drafted. A team's grade averages those per-pick results; beating the expectation consistently earns an A, reaching consistently earns a D or F.
Is the draft grade calculator free?
Yes — grading a draft on this page is free and requires no signup. The LeagueLogs app adds the full report: the Steal Map, round-by-round value heatmaps, the All-Value Team, and automatic reports the moment your league's draft ends.
Does it work for dynasty and rookie drafts?
Yes. Rookie and startup dynasty drafts are graded against dynasty market values (with superflex and PPR variants), so rookie picks are judged on the right board rather than redraft rankings.
Does it work with ESPN or Yahoo drafts?
Sleeper drafts work with just a username. Public ESPN leagues work too — paste your ESPN league link into the grader. Private ESPN leagues can be graded by connecting them in the LeagueLogs app. Yahoo isn't supported yet.
Why did a consensus first pick grade as 'fair' instead of a steal?
Taking the best available player at your slot is exactly what the slot was worth — that's a fair pick, not a steal. Steals are players who fell past their market value; reaches are players taken well ahead of it. A chalk draft grades around a B for everyone.
