What is PPR in fantasy football?

PPR (Points Per Reception) is a scoring format that awards one fantasy point for every catch, on top of yardage and touchdown points.

In PPR scoring, every catch is worth one point in addition to standard yardage and touchdown scoring.

A running back who catches 8 passes for 50 yards and rushes for 60 yards scores 8 + 5 + 6 = 19 points in PPR, versus 11 in standard. That extra reception scoring is why pass-catching backs and slot receivers are far more valuable in PPR than in non-PPR leagues.

PPR is the most popular scoring format in modern fantasy football. It rewards volume and consistency, which is why receivers and dual-threat running backs get drafted earlier in PPR than they would in standard leagues.
