What is Half-PPR in fantasy football?
Half-PPR is a scoring format that awards half a point (0.5) for every reception, splitting the difference between full PPR and standard scoring.
Half-PPR (0.5 PPR)
Half-PPR gives a player half a point per catch, so receptions matter but don't dominate scoring the way they do in full PPR.
A receiver with 6 catches for 70 yards scores 7 + 3 = 10 points in half-PPR, versus 13 in full PPR and 7 in standard. Half-PPR is popular because it nudges value toward pass-catchers without making volume receivers as overwhelmingly valuable as full PPR does.
Many leagues choose half-PPR as a compromise: it keeps high-floor possession receivers relevant while preserving more value for big-play, touchdown-dependent players than full PPR.
