What is a floor in fantasy football?
A player's floor is their reliable low-end weekly outcome — roughly the fewest points you can expect them to score in a normal game.
Floor
Floor is the safety in a player's range of outcomes — the low end you can usually count on even on an off day.
A possession receiver who sees 8 targets every week has a high floor: even in a bad game he'll catch 5 for 50 yards and score solid PPR points. A high floor means predictability, which is exactly what you want when you're favored and just need your starters to not crater.
Floor and ceiling together define a player's range of outcomes. High-floor players are the foundation of a roster; you build around their consistency and add ceiling elsewhere.
