How to read these rankings
Each matchup cell is the opponent’s average fantasy points allowed per game to the entire position group. The summary averages those opponent averages across scheduled games, counting repeat opponents each time and excluding byes. Higher numbers sort first: those opponents allowed more points in the baseline. These numbers are not an individual player projection or an opponent-adjusted efficiency metric.
For example, opponents allowing 20, 25 and 30 points per game produce a 25.0 average for that three-game window. A bye does not count as zero. All reported defensive games count in the points-allowed denominator, including games with no scoring at the selected position.
Scoring: one point per reception, 0.1 per rushing/receiving yard, six per rushing/receiving touchdown, 0.04 per passing yard, four per passing touchdown, minus two per interception or lost fumble, and two per credited two-point conversion. Return points and league bonuses are excluded.
Use the schedule to break a close call
Look for runs of favorable opponents when comparing similarly valued players or planning ahead for byes. Keep role, health and weekly expert rankings in the decision: a favorable schedule cannot create touches for a backup. Points allowed also reflects the offenses a defense already faced; this model does not correct for opponent quality, injuries, home field or offseason changes.
